Passover as Metaphor for Inner Cleansing
Just as we clean our houses for Passover, We can offer our inner state of consciousness a spring cleaning too.
Passover spring cleaning can involve both the scouring of our kitchen and finally throwing out all that old unnecessary junk. Then too, we can cleanse our emotions and release much old stuff, that which is no longer needed within our emotional and spiritual awareness.
What do you want to cleanse from your life this Passover?
What old habits and non-supportive beliefs are you willing to release?
What new and healthy thoughts to you want to make space for in your life this spring?
Every year we clean our homes, removing all leavened products from our midst, replacing them with matzah and other Kosher-for-Passover foods. During Passover, we give up all leavened products and eat only Matzah.
Matzah is the most basic food, made of only bread and water, with none of the extra ingredients in most breads, cakes, and cookies. Chametz means leavened bread, full of extra ingredients. Passover is the time to return to the basics.
What are the core values of your life?
What are the extras?
Passover celebrates the rebirth of the Israelite nation as a free people and the renewal of the natural world. Both of these processes of transformation include the shedding of different elements from the past in order to prepare for a better future.
Focus on the basics—on what truly matters to you— and begin to live more unencumbered in the present.
So this Passover, this spring, you are invited to experience this metaphor. Come for a good inner spring cleaning, return to your essential self and heal. Spirit Wings Healing offers you transformational healing work that provides you with the tools to do just that.
Blessings for a Sweet and Cleansing Passover,
